Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue
VOKRA is a no kill, non- profit registered charity, dedicated to rescuing cats in the Lower Mainland. They save over 1800 cats a year in the Lower Mainland all with the help of their volunteers. VOKRA has no paid staff which ensures that 100% of your donation goes to saving the kitties.
Their dedicated group of volunteers humanely trap feral cats. Males are neutered and if they can be tamed they are adopted. Pregnant Mothers are cared for in foster homes until the kittens are weaned. The Mother is spayed and the kittens are socialized so they can be adopted. Mother cats are also adopted unless they cannot be tamed in which case they are released where they were found but VOKRA volunteers continue to monitor their health.
VOKRA currently supports 350 individual foster homes in the Vancouver area by providing guidance and covering costs. To find out more about this worthy cause check out their website here:

investing in the future of Canadian children. As a participating RE/MAX REALTOR®, when I display the Miracle Home sign rider on the properties I have listed for sale, it tells the community that I have personally pledged to donate a portion of my commission on the sale of the home to the Children’s Miracle Network.
Every August RE/MAX celebrates a Month of Miracles, whereby we especially thank our clients for helping us raise over $44 million in Canada to help over 2.6 million sick and injured children every year treated at a Children’s Miracle Network member hospital. All funds raised by participating RE/MAX associates are sent directly the children’s hospital.
